Blanca de la Torre

Curator, art historian and researcher whose work is situated at the intersection between visual arts, ecofeminisms, political ecology and sustainable creative practices. Her professional activity includes, in addition to exhibitions, project management, seminars, workshops, curatorial residencies and international symposiums; She has published more than a hundred specialized texts in books, catalogs and magazines.

Until 2023 she was Chief Curator of the 15th International Biennial of Cuenca, and artistic co-director of the Overview Effect Project at the MoCAB Museum in Belgrade and Con los pies en la T(t)ierra at the CAAM, where she is also director of the Aula Sostenible. She has curated exhibitions for the AECID Network of Cultural Centers in its Latin American headquarters. In all of these projects mentioned, she developed sustainability guidelines to reduce the ecological footprint.

From 2009 to 2014, she was curator, conservator and head of exhibitions and projects at ARTIUM (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain).
